Of late, my creative mind has been failing me. I am no longer able to express myself through words. Well, as easily as I'd hoped I would anyway. Though I do always have music and art, for which I am incredibly grateful. If it weren't for that, I'd have drowned quite some time ago.
Fresco-fying my room at present with nothing in particular, just waiting to see what I feel like creating when it's time to paint again.
I want a new sitar. By 'new' I mean a 40-year old used one. My current one is too new and sounds very harsh and sharp. Whilst adjusting the bridge in an attempt to deepen it, it quite literally fell apart. Consequently, spent the best part of yesterday bringing it back to life. Anyways, I want a old one with a deep, mellow, rustic sound. Theoretically, an old one should provide enough give to enable bridge/fret/floor adjustments because of the ware on the strings. Though I fear it may be difficult to handle if the frets are secured with silk threads. Hmmm, we shall see what I encounter when the hunt begins.
Speaking of Sitar, practice is all I've been doing for the past month. Not touched uni work AT ALL, despite the horrific amounts they're piling on us. Whatever. I don't care about anything anymore. I just want (need) my drug so I can get high and escape to an alternative universe where people are far and few between and all that encases me are porcelain fluffy clouds.
You know what really annoys me? When people advertise a product with ''new and improved'' could you BE any more contradictory? Just pick one and be done with it. If it's new then there's been no predecessor so there's nothing to improve. If it's an improvement, there must've been something prior and thus not new.
This post has been rather sporadic and probably really difficult to read....for that, I apologise.
